Bonus Download
Oh boy, Fellow Fanatics, do I have a bonus for y'all! More Peel Sessions tracks to go with the John Peel theme from tonight's show. These are not from HIMH or Henry Rollins in any way. Consider it a wafer-thin mint from me. Download it here.
First up is a track from "John Peel's Festive 15" compilation disc. I bought this cd at Amoeba just because it had John Peel's name on it. I was a little disappointed that this appears to be the only track that was actually a Peel session. It was marked "Promo Only", so I'm not sure what the deal is with this cd. In the liner notes there is a list of charities being donated to in John Peel's name, so I am guessing it was for some type of fundraiser. It looks like the compilation was put out in 2005 by Uncut Magazine/Ignite. The track info below is from the bbc website. The rest of the tracks are from a Peel Sessions cd by Amphetamine Reptile Records featuring 4 bands. The info on those come directly from the liner notes. Enjoy!

Thanks again, Angela! BTW, the "Festive 15" CD was the freebie cover-mounted disc from Uncut magazine about a year ago.

Aha! I was hoping some out there knew what this disc was. Thanks for the info. A freebie, huh? I'm glad it was cheap! I think I paid $2 for it.

You're welcome!
There was a bit more information about the CD in the magazine itself, and being an anal type, I pulled out those pages to fold up and slip inside the CD case. I'll see if I can scan & upload 'em. Unfortunately, my scanner seems to have shuffled off this mortal coil at the mo', but hopefully it's resurrectable.

Why, that's not anal at all! As my buddy Don says "Anything worth doing is worth over-doing". But don't worry about it; I know how scanning gets. I just tonight got a Polaroid taken of a me and a few friends at dinner. (Not THAT kind of Polaroid - get your mind out of the gutter!) I took the picture home and thought "Aw crap! Now I gotta scan this thing?" I don't even know where my scanner is! I guess I've become lazy. I'll throw it on the stack and get to it someday.
