#36: September 5, 2006
Here's the latest. The website has been in limbo for these past few weeks. For a brief time, it even looked as though the Archive was to be taken over by the official site! But that wasn't to be. I got so frustrated with the state of things, that I decided to just shut the site down. I didn't want to leave you guys in the lurch, though, so I asked Angela, who has been kind enough to record and donate the show to the Archive these last several weeks, if she would consider taking over the Rollins-Archive mailing list so that the show could still be distributed to you all that way. She asked me if she could take over as webmistress, rather than see the site be shut down. And so...meet your new webmistress, Angela! You have her to thank for Tuesday's show being recorded and up here and for the site continuing on. So, thank you, Angela. Very, very much.
I'll still be around for a little while because we're in the middle of transitioning the website over to Angela. I have a few things I want to pass on to you guys before I go, so I'll make my good-bye official then, when I give those to you.
Tuesday's show was Henry's first live show in many weeks. I see that he played my beloved Ludus (and one of my favorite tracks by them, too), my all-time favorite Hawkwind song (though I prefer the version on the Space Ritual album by far), Bruce Gilbert (!!!) and even PIL. I'm honestly surprised that he hasn't played PIL before now! Enjoy!
Part One | Part Two | Part Three | Part Four
01. Ludus - "I Can't Swim I Have Nightmares"
02. Masanka Sankayi featuring Kabongo Tshisensa - "Le Laboureur"
03. The Damned - "I Just Can’t Be Happy Today"
04. The Damned - "Ballroom Blitz"
05. The Damned - "Turkey Song"
06. Alan Vega – "Body Bop Jive"
07. The Fall - "Edinburgh Man"
08. Romania - "Low China"
09. Hawkwind – "Lord Of Light"
10. Joe Lally – "The Resigned"
11. Glaxo Babies – "This Is Your"
