March 20, 2007 - Covers Show #1
I left the commercial at the beginning of part 2 so you can hear what Henry is ranting about. The rant at the beginning of part 4 is for a commercial which was not broadcast over the web. Stuart said it was a reaction to an acne medicine commercial. I thought it sounded like a perfect sound bite for a computer error, so I made two wav files; a long version ("No! I won't! How do you like THEM apples?!") and a short one ("No! I won't!"). You can download a zip file of both here. The (hopefully) fixed file for Henry & Heidi on Jonesy's Jukebox Jury is here. Thanks to Dave H. for recording it. I spliced in the first few minutes or so that weren't on Dave's recording with the podcast version. The problem there is that they cut out most of the songs on the podcast, so you hear them review a song but not the actual song itself. It's only for the first one. Then Dave's better sounding recording kicks in and it has all the songs with it. There's a few computer beeps from his computer but it doesn't really get in the way. I may be getting a copy of a recording that isn't hacked up by me, so if I do I'll pass it on. It's been a long day! Thanks for hanging in there, everybody.

Thank you for the show Angela!
Jonesy.zip is not a valid archive. Does anybody also have this problem, or is it just me?
I'm downloading it at work to check it. It was very late when I did all that, so I may have screwed it up. I'll get back to you as soon as I've got it.
You're right, the file doesn't work for some reason. I'll fix it as soon as I get home from work.
Thanks for letting me know!
Cool! I'm looking forward to it.
Hi! Some fanatics might wanna know that you can find a copy of the Terrorvision/Die Cheerleader cover 'The Model' on CD, it was released as a b-side to Terrorvision's single 'Oblivion'. Details can be found here: http://www.diecheerleader.net/discography.htm.

The advert was saying something like;
"Send in for your free 60 day trial of proactiv" and then it cuts to Henry saying "no i wont..." etc
The advertisers and marketing staff must love Rollins :-) . The online streaming versions really dont do his abuse of the adverts justice.
Also note the time on the harmony site is wrong for the UK rebroadcast this week as the time diff. is only 7 hours until Sunday so UK rebroadcast is 9 not 10.
Someone may want to tell Henry that Indie actually plays the "Head on" cover as part of their normal rotation, strange as that seems now.
anybody ekse having problems downloading the segmets.

Hey Mike,
I just checked the links and they seem ok from here. Email me if you're still having a problem and I'll see if we can figure it out.
