Tonight's theme: songs with "Free" in the title for your Independence Day enjoyment. On a side note, I'm so glad I can get these tracks to you in stereo! There are some crazy things going on back and forth (or side to side, I should say) with the Funkadelic track at the end.

There's a new Fanatic!Fantasies set to check out. For anyone new to the site, a "Fanatic!Fantasies" set is a set of songs put together by us fans to share with each other. It has nothing to do with HIMH other than it's more good music from those of us who enjoy the show. The newest set is from David F., who also put together some great notes so please check it out! Thanks to David for all the hard work and for sharing it with us.

Ironically*, I just got an email a few days ago from Dick (check out his F!F set, too, if you haven't already) about a cool podcast show by Mike Watt. It's called The Watt from Pedro and you can find it here. It's along the same lines as HIMH, so you might want to take a peek. Thanks to Dick for passing that along.

I had most of this typed up before part one even aired! What are the chances Henry would tell a story about Mike Watt? Stuff like this happens all the time with Indie 103. Just ask Jonas. We'd be talking about something music related and within days you hear it on Indie. It's like everyone there has ESP. Creepy!

That's not irony. It's coincidental.

It is very coincidental, but I meant ironic in that it was a complete surprise. I never expect to hear about something and then turn around and have that topic pop up on the next show. It was only ever the other way around before! Sort of a strange reversal for me. That was vague of me to put it that way, sorry. My brain isn't always firing on all cylinders at that hour. :-) Thanks, Julian!
