#51: December 18, 2007 - Covers Show #4

Tonight's show is the last all-covers show of the year. Next week will be a naughty & nice Christmas show. I can't wait to hear what Henry's got for that! Speaking of Christmas sets, Bob has expanded upon his Fanatic!Fantasies set of Christmas tunes from last year for another round of holiday cheer and jeer. Click here to check it out.

A little stocking stuffer: A while back, Jonas sent me Lemmy's cover of Thirsty and Miserable and I thought of it when I saw Thirsty and Miserable on tonight's track list, so I'm passing it along to anyone who doesn't have it yet. Click here to download.
***Much delayed update: The track I posted is from the Damage Case 2cd Lemmy anthology, but it is also widely available on the benefit CD for the West Memphis Three titled "Rise Above".
You can buy it here at Sanctuary Records or just about any major online retailer you can think of like Amazon.

tmw said... Considering that the cover was recorded for a charity album, shouldn't you put up a link to buy the CD and support the cause instead of a free download? Not trying to be a jerk. Have a good one. - Thu Dec 20, 03:57:00 AM EST

Angela said... I had no idea it was a charity album or what cause it was for. I'll look into it. Thanks, Angela - Thu Dec 20, 10:06:00 AM EST

andreas said... the song is taken from the "rise above" album, benefitting the "west-memphis 3" (rollins-band and various guest-vocalists doing black flag-songs). but i would not mind too much, nice idea having it for download - maybe you can add some info about the album, so some people might get interested and acctually buy it... there's quite some good songs on it, not just lemmys "thirsty..."-version :) - Fri Dec 21, 03:15:00 AM EST
