Cool Rollins story: Last week he mentioned that "Drinking Bout My Baby" form the Black Album was originally done by Eddie and the Hot Rods, but that he could not remember hearing it. I went online to try to find it, planning to send it to him. Instead, I found that he was probably WRONG about that. I sent him a note to let him know, and once again he responded within hours: "Michael, hey. I can't remember where I read that. From the liner notes on the re-issue, Captain says it was one of Rat's songs. I searched my computer for all my Damned articles and can't find it. It probably just stuck itself in my mind somehow. Thanks for listening and the heads up. Henry". Not only did he answer in just a few hours, but he also apparently spent a little time researching his response. The guy takes his fanatics (and The Damned) seriously!
