April 25, 2006 - Monica Saves the Day...
I was recording last night's show. And just as Empire's "New Emotion" began, I lost my internet connection. Seriously. No connection for the rest of the night. It sounds like "the dog ate my homework," doesn't it? I can hear you going, "Tara, how can the show get fucked up two weeks in a row?" Well, it did. The first time was my error. The second time was Optimum Online (or the Forces That Be, if you believe in that kind of thing) screwing with the proceedings.
And so I very humbly thank Monica for donating this week's show for your listening enjoyment. It is my sincere hope that nothing goes wonky next week. I have contemplated automating the recording process, but that presents quite a few logistical nightmares for me that I don't feel like going into and you guys don't need to hear about. I'll figure it out.

Hey Tara,
Without you, I would never get to hear this show from Korea, U.S., Indonesia, Hong Kong, or whatever fucked-up hotel room I happen to be in.
There are no alternatives to you as far as getting this show to people.
So I am and have been incredibly grateful to your site since '04.
Does the world end if you miss a show? No.
Will people carry on with their lives if that happens? Yes.
Are you a rockstar for doing this in your own time and effort and love for music and Rollins? Absolutely.
Keep rockin'.
Thanks as always.
can't wait for the mark e smith special! I'm the first to admit that It took me a loooong time to get the fall but finally I did!
Thanks tara and monica I guess : )

Tara, I live in the US and sometimes I don't usually catch the show live and everyone knows and I hope keeps in mind that you are a fan like the rest of us. It is understandable that shit like that happens and it is sometimes beyond one's control. I'm just glad that you capture Hank's show and that other people out there are able to capture it even if something fucks up. So I'm glad that you archive this stuff and I know Hank appreciates it too...as he is the king of archiving.
hi tara,
never mind "fucking it up" again - glad you're doing all this archive-work, otherwise i'd have no chance catching the show in germany - and professionals suck anyway! :)
carry on and thanx for the effort!!!
cheers
andreas
Thanks for all the kind words and encouragement, guys. It is really appreciated.
Re: m's comment on The Fall...
I hated The Fall at first. Seriously. What killed me was that I would like a song when I first heard it and I would start to get into it. And then I found that the song would begin to pummel me in the head like a brick with its repetitiveness. And now I realize what the deal is with The Fall. It's busy music. You can't sit down with it and be awash with the textures and atmospheres like you would with The Church or Pink Floyd. You put The Fall on when you're doing other stuff and the music finds it's way into your subconscious mind, making you more industrious with whatever you're busy with and creating a marked tendency toward bizarrely wretched dreams (if it wasn't already there to be begin with).
Now, I find that I like most Fall songs, I work better and my sleep is even more disturbed than it used to be! Thanks, Henry!
thanks again for all the good work. And don't worry it won't be the end of the world if you miss one of the show. Because of you I was able to get all the ones that my internet connection made me miss, and I can say that's a lot of them. Thanks again for all the work you put in this. Aliens

Hey guys,
I was wondering if anyone is putting up "the Henry Rollins show"?
Whatcha think?
You can pick up the henry rollins show using bittorrent on www.thepiratebay.org - I am in Liverpool England and I have been able to get the first 4 shows in the season so far although some have taken quite a long while to download.
Thanks for the radio show archive tara, you are providing a great service ;)
just tuned in from the (now) unofficial fall site to listen to Les Tambours and have stayed a little longer. nice resource, I'll be back later. i would of course urge you all in the states to rush out and catch the fall in the coming month - dates here http://www.visi.com/fall/news/fallnews.html
Hi Tara,
I have the recording process automated on my home server. Just let me know when you miss a show and I most surely will have it complete (unless something went VERY wrong).
Cheers
Antonio
PS: You can reach me at the yahoo list. Dont like to leave my mail around.
Thank you, Antonio. That's very kind of you.
