August 15, 2006

Unfortunately, I will no longer be able to continue to maintain this archive. It is not something that I can do. I can't go into the reasons, but I'm happy to let you know that the archive will live on. A fellow Fanatic, Rose, has stepped forward and she will be taking over. She is a web designer by trade, so no doubt the site will emerge as prettier and more functional with her at the helm. In the coming weeks, I will be transitioning the site over to Rose -- once Rose takes over, it will be entirely up to her how she will continue to maintain and distribute the files for the show. I don't know if she will be interested in continuing the Fanatic! Fantasies project, so I have not included the weekly link to the project in this post.
I am glad to have archived the shows from 2004 on. I've discovered a lot of great music and awesome people, and I am very thankful for that. Thanks to all of you who visit and who have left your comments. You guys motivated me to keep doing it every week.

Also, I want to extend a very special thank you to Angela for supplying me and the members of the Rollins Archive mailing list with Tuesday's show, which I can now pass on to all of you. I apologize for the delay in making the show available.

~ Tara

thank you Tera for the effort. I would have missed many a show if it wasn't for your effort. Thanks and I hope they let you out early for good behavior (I kid, I know you're not in jail even though NJ is almost like jail).

Thank you Tara for all the work that you've done in the last two years. Your site has provided many people with a musical resource and many hours of listening enjoyment.

It was very thoughtful of you to pass the torch to Rose, so we can get our weekly music fix. Welcome Rose! Again, thank you Tara!

I hope everything is going well for you and you've just run out of time to run the archive. Good luck with whatever you do in the future. Thank you for the archive, without it many if us would miss the show entirely! Have a good one!

Thank you from the very bottom of my heart to the very top of my soul. You're a true believer and a music fanatic to the core. I've got many a kick-ass albums and songs because of your site and Henry's show. You've made it possible to enjoy Henry's stuff even though a lot of us can't listen to the show live for one reason or another. I can tell ya one thing, It makes working out a helluva lot easier with the show on the ole Ipod. I feel like Henry going off on stage and shit. Anyway, I hope the reason you don't have much time is you're gonna make a lot of money doin something else. Good luck, God speed, and may the wind be always at your back.

Tara,

Just want to say thanks. I'd have missed out on many a great band and many a great song if not for your efforts in keeping this archive running. Thanks very much and best wishes.

Tara,

Thanks for all your hard work ... you did an INCREDIBLE job. Rollins-archive.com is a fantastic resource for Rollins fans (and music fans) worldwide.

Even though we live in a world with countless tv and radio stations, it's tough to find quality programming because most channels champion mediocre culture. "Harmony in my Head" is a light in the darkness and thanks to your hard work, the show is available to anyone, anywhere, anytime (so long as they have an internet connection).

Thanks for investing so much time and energy into this site ... I appreciate it. Hopefully Rose does an equally impressive job.

Tara, thanks for all you've done to make the show available. Without this site, I wouldn't have heard anything past the first couple of shows back in 2004. All the best. And Rose? Rose? is that you? Rose started alt.fan.henry-rollins on Usenet a thousand years ago. Rose kicks ass.

Tara thank you very much for your time and effort. There is no way I would have caught the show without you/this site. Welcome Rose! Pretty please tell me someone got the Misfits show. Been looking forward to it for weeks ....

Don't worry! The Misfits show was recorded. I sent it to Tara, but something's wrong with my connection and it wouldn't upload any faster than 15k/sec. It probably didn't get to her until after 0200EDT. I'm sure she was asleep by then, I know I was! The file I sent her was uncut, so I'm sure there's a bit of work to be done to get it into the tidy packages she posts here. Bottom line: hang tight, it's coming.

Angela is more alert than me at nights :-). I recorded a higher bps version then the stream and it sounded great apart from when Henry was talking; a bit buzzy. I might try again Thursday to get an even higher bps version. I had also talked to someone a few weeks ago about trying to get a lossless FM recording with their rig so they might come through.
In other words there may be an upgrade available if wanted.
It was a great show.
